Who can benefit from the creative therapeutic approach?

Many problems that affect us seem to almost stop us from 'thinking', and in turn we may feel blocked and lack the understanding to find our own way forward.  To think creatively then,  as a means of becoming unstuck,  is not always about being  physically creative  - it can simply be that by using diverse ways of thinking we can explore other roads  towards self understanding.

Everyone can benefit from Creative Arts  Psychotherapy  -  our creativity, our play,  was in place before our speech  - it is where our early memories are stored, it holds our unconscious thoughts and simply needs translation.

In my practice I support people who struggle with:-

Loss

Depression

Anxiety

Compulsion

Confusion

and generally, issues that stop us from thriving

I also work with those who have suffered sexual abuse and domestic violence  and I specialise in attachment difficulties both with children and adults.

Some times, to talk about painful experiences let alone uncover them can often be impossible and too painful -  and so   by exploring the gentle but effective nature of creative arts psychotherapy which offers us control over our realisations, we can decide when we are ready.
